Being Undan

So.. I was planning to visit some places this weekend and my colleagues warned me that it was expected to heavily snow this weekend. I just do not have enough spare time here, so I stepped out of my hotel in the morning itself. By noon, I started getting a bad feeling about the weather. It felt more colder and the wind was getting stronger. And it was snowing very heavy..

By the time I reached back at the metro station, it turned out to be a mild storm… a snow storm !

This morning, the folks at office told me that I was witness to something of this magnitude that hadn’t happened in recent decades !

Praveen and I went to visit the famous Arctic ICE Bar in Helsinki. The real name of the restaurant is “La Bodega”. The walls and furnitures are all made with carved blocks of ice. They keep the temperature a constant -5 degree ! For me, a large Vodka cocktail did not do any help at all.

For travelers: Entry fee is 10 Euro per head and it includes one drink too.

I am not a McDonlads fan, but it works for me here. Tasty and cheap !

I found this huge escalator in the Kamppi Metro station. So far, this is the tallest and steepest escalator I have ever seen !

Thank god it’s not a staircase
